I see it spelt more often as "kakkoii", though since 好 is read as "kou", that "kakkouii" would be acceptable too.

Oh I see its being read as one word,格好いい not separately kakkou ii. Putting the space in is confusing (but then I often find where they put spaces in in this course odd.)
In the online Denshi Jisho they do put the u in, both as separate words and as the compound.
It changes the pronounciation of course.
