Nihon ni ikimashita!

I'm visiting my son in Japan and we had dinner with his fiancee and her parents. It was the first time my husband and I had met them. I spoke to them in Japanese. It wasn't much, mostly along the lines of 'Nikko ni ikimashita' and 'Oishii desu ne!' But Daniel told me afterwards that it really helped to break the ice. And Yu:s mother said that my intonation was excellent. I was very proud of that, although of course I didn't say so. Sayaka-san and Kenny-san, arigato gozaimashita for helping me to speak correctly!
