I love the fact that Rocket Japanese has quizzes, tests, and the game to help teach Japanese. But what if there were things that the rocket japanese team could actualy grade to see if someone knew what they were doing? Or create a program that was accurate at this?
For example, a question asks:
Make a sentence asking "how are you doing?" in the polite form
Answer:
and most would obviously put "o genki desu ka?"
So rather than multiple choice, why not fill in the blank? It would help us learn better than just remember. When we see a question, we might not know it until we see the answer, and that is not helping us 100% like it should be. I am currently learning C++, and if I do finish it, I would be more than willing to help create programs for the Rocket Japanese to take ideas from for such things. It may already be done by the time I learn C++ and am able to do these things, but it is just some ideas I thought I would explain..
And if "grading" it is too much, then you could just post the correct answer after they type their answers, and they can just compare the answers themselves. After all, most people are focused on "100%" most of the time compared to just wanting to have every question correct without a grade system.
What does everyone else think?
Quizzes & Game good, but need more?

Konnichiwa!
The Rocket Japanese team is actually currently thinking of adding another feature into the quizzes for "fill in the blank" type questions.
I think your idea is extremely helpful to us as we are trying to make a better product for learners like yourself!
Thank you very much :P

Thanks for the reply, and that sounds great! I cannot wait for that type of quiz.
When I learn C++ completely, do you think the team would allow me to join via long distance in helping? I would love to help program for questions, even if I am not fully fluent to Japanese yet during that time :p

not now, but maybe later,
I finished a quiz of 10 questions. The coding in it is POOR since I'm a beginner.. I attempted to upload it, but .exe files aren't allowed and when I tried to zip it, the file said it could not upload the attachment....so I guess no one can check it out for me :[
I'll see if I can upload it to a link for someone to download later then. But yeah, :]

I decided to keep it to myself. I don't want to get in trouble for posting files or links to them. I don't know if it's in the terms of service or not and don't want to lose any privileges I have on the forums. 8)
