Rocket Japanese - Updated Level 1 Writing & Survival Kit Lessons

Hi Everyone!

We have updated the Writing lessons and Survival Kit lessons to match JLPT N5 standards.

This means your Writing lessons now cover hiragana, katakana and N5 level kanji. For kanji lessons, you will now find a new tool to practice your stroke order and a new reinforcement test: Draw It! You can find out more in the first Writing lesson HERE

As for the Survival Kit lessons, you'll find more relevant topics hat will complete your N5 vocab list.

Since these changes have involved adding all-new lessons to the course, your progress will unfortunately start from scratch for these. However, we are sure that you will find them a massive improvement on the old lessons!

Enjoy the new content - and please let us know what you think!

I noticed that this functionality seems to be on the website but not on the Android app (at least in the first updated Writing lesson). Some people who have tablets may have a different experience, but using my mouse on a laptop to draw the Kanji wasn't so great. Having the ability to draw these characters on a smartphone, with your finger or a stylus, would be a definite plus. Will that be added?

こんにちは (Konnichiwa) EarleyGrave,

Thanks for the feedback!

I have talked to the development team and they have informed me that Draw It! will be added to the app (for both IOS and Android) within the next few app releases.

In the meantime, we hope you're enjoying the new content! Please let us know if you have any other feedback or questions.

For various reasons, I've been away for a while, and I just discovered the Draw It function.  Great idea!  I am loving all of the new features, and I appreciate all the hard work you have put into this program to align it with the JLPT.
