Konnichiwa Oliver, _Henji ga okuremashite, sumimasen!_ I apologize for this late reply! You are absolutely correct that GA follows SUKI, WAKARIMASU and JOUZU. However, (I hope this may not confuse you...) in Lesson 1.3, it is not incorrect to say *O sushi WA suki desu ka? *. The WA can be in situations where the questions assumes the phrase: "TALKING ABOUT FOOD...do you like Sushi? or "CONCERNING JAPANESE FOOD...do you like Sushi?" *O sushi WA suki desu ka? * is like asking "Out of all the Japanese food, do you like Sushi?" whereas *O sushi GA suki desu ka? * strictly asks "Do you like Sushi?" In other words...the WA softens the questions, while GA emphasizes the word SUSHI. It's a bit tricky :shock:
