Studying time?

Hello,

I have been doing this course for a couple months but found my motivation too inconsistent and burning out was happening wayyy too often. It's come to my attention that perhaps an all or nothing approach was definitely the root of the issue. So just curious, how many modules should one learn in a certain time frame (i.e three in a week and then review?) in order to be fully absorbing the content.

thank you for any replies!

Hi Alli1168,

We're sorry to hear that you have been feeling burnt out with the course. The way you progress through the course depends on what you wish to get out of it. If you wish to learn the writing system first, I would recommend starting with the Writing Lessons until you have learned the characters. If you wish to get straight into speaking, I would recommend starting at the first lessons and making your way through the course in order. However, if you wish to learn vocabulary first, you can start with the Survival Kit lessons to do this.

Regardless of where you start, we generally recommend doing one lesson a day and spending about 45 minutes to an hour on it. If you go at this pace, you can learn roughly one module a fortnight.

If you feel that you are not absorbing all the content in the lessons, you can always go back and review the previous lessons. You may even find it useful to spend a day just reviewing previous content.

I hope this helps!
