Voice Recognition Bug: いち (Module 1, Unit 1.0)

In Module 1, Unit 1.0, all instances of the Japanese speaker saying 一「いち」(one) sound like “ich”, and I understand it's acceptable to drop the trailing い, but the voice recognition is not so forgiving and requires it. People can be failed on this without understanding why, so maybe the approach should be consistent or a note should be appended.

Hi EarleyGrave,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Although it's common to drop the い (i) in spoken Japanese, the voice recognition on the app works better when pronouncing い (i) clearly. To avoid confusion, we have updated the example with the い (i) pronounced.

If you can't hear the new audio, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the app (this is because the old version of the audio would have been downloaded to your phone - reinstalling will clear those old downloads).

Thanks again and all the best for your Japanese studies!
