Write It in Kanji - why no keyboard icon?

The Rocket Chinese testing has a Write It in Hanzi (W2) test and it has a keyboard you can click on. You can then enter Pinyin and it will present a list of Hanzi characters that you can choose from In the Rocket Japanese course, the Write It in Kanji (W2) test does not have a similar keyboard. Interestingly, the Rocket Chinese keyboard has an option to change it to Japanese. I tried it out: the test said "genki" and I entered "gen" followed by "ki" and I was able to select 元 for "gen" and 気 for "ki". It should be easy for the developers to hook up the same keyboard icon into Rocket Japanese that is currently being used in Rocket Chinese.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your post. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately we have been unable to find a reliable Kanji keyboard for the W2 testing (we tried some but they were missing characters). Instead, we recommend that you try adding the language as an input language on your computer. The following link will hopefully help you with that: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-nz/windows/type-chinese-japanese-character-languages#1TC=windows-7 If you are a Google Chrome user, you might like to try the Google Input Tools plugin: http://www.google.com/inputtools/ I hope that helps Robert. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to email our Customer Support team. All the best!

OK - I use Chrome and added their input tools. The only way I am able to create Kanji such as Nihon 日本 is to draw it. Either that, or I can switch to Chinese and enter Rìběn and select 日本. Drawing the Kanji is probably the best way to learn it so I think I will go with that.
