On my computer I cannot type the correct accents/markings and I don't see them on the keyboard either. My tablet works fine because there are additional options when I hold a letter. Any suggestions?

Sorry for any confusion caused; if you click on the bottom left check-box then you will see the highlighted characters that you can choose, or clicking in "Shift", then you get more options and characters; you need to select the character first, and then the letter.
I would also advice you increasing the size of the virtual keyboard using the arrows located at the top of the keyboard.
