In lesson 1.3 the question "Com o que?" And "O que você quer?" Confuse me. What is the purpose of the "o" in both theses sentences?

Nice question :)
The article "o" is optional, so you can say "Com quê?" or " Que você quer?"
But, some Professors believe it when you add "o" more emphasis is given to the question.
