Typo in Language & Culture lesson: 3.7 Russian Cases: Introduction

I believe there is a typo or some mistake in this passage of 3.7 Russian Cases: Introduction (Language & Culture lesson):

 Another example is the word пляж (plyash) "beach" which derives from the French word "plaque". 

I think the French word that пляж comes from is "plage", not "plaque", because "plage" is pronounced almost the same as пляж, and it exactly means beach. (source: я из Франции).
