Videos and Text disagree

I've noticed that in some of the video's the signer does the exact opposite of what is stated in the written text on the subject.  I noticed it twice in module 3.3 sentence structure. Once it said that the signed format should be "book read" then the video shows "read book." This also happened with time words, the text says that time words should be placed at the beginning of the sentence, which also what I have learned in classes, but then in the video the time words are at the end.

Hi there,

Just wanted to update that the lessons have been updated recently, so this issue should have been fixed already.

Kind Regards!

Hi Elliot,

Thanks so much for pointing out the caption error - we have corrected this now. You will find the video for “What do you do for work?” in the dictionary.

Thanks again! All the best with your ASL learning.

During the very first lesson, the caption said, “Welcome to rocket languages.” But the person was signing “Rocket languages welcome.”

Hi FancyPenguin028! Thanks for your inquiry, and excellent job with your comprehension! As stated in the paragraph prior to the video, the signer does not use all the words in the English sentence, rather he follows the grammatical rules of ASL - that includes not only eliminating the word “to”, but also changing the order of the sentence to match ASL grammar. This first, small example gives new learners a glimpse into the differences between ASL and English grammar, which will be explored more thoroughly in later lessons. Keep up the good work!
