Amazing course.
I am learning really fast with this method. It is a 5-star-worth-course.
Just starting to test the waters with Rocket French. Can't really say much yet since it's too early, but I keep noticing that the speech recognition isn't working accurately. My voice is either not getting recognized or if I deliberately mispronounce I get 100%. That's a bit of a downer. Considering the cost of this course, I'd expect it to work without issues.

I love the app, let me tell you, it is not easy but it will challenge you every step of the way! Take your time. I have been learning French since the beginning of 2020. I have been all over the place. I have used Pimsleur, Assimil, and Rocket language is by far the best for me! I am a native speaker of Español, and Fluent in English (40+ yrs) I understand Italian, Portuguese and French. But have decided to actually study French. I watch TV shows, movies, and listen to music all in French. My iPhone and computer language is also French! I do a 30 minutes lesson and take notes and practice vocabulary that I find challenging. But over all a lot of fun, I feel more confident now. Oh and I also record a 1 to 3 minutes video talking about my day, food, work, going to the gym etc! The bottom line is you have to make it fun!

Works okay, very helpful context, but the part where you speak the words and they judge your pronunciation is super super broken for me, rendering the whole app half-useless. It either can not hear what I'm saying at all, or is way way off base about what I said. I've tried switching devices, switching to an external mic, etc etc but the problem seems to be ROCKETBOOK. So far Duolingo has proven to be better, and much more affordable. I hope they fix the voice part...

I am a visual learner,
so I need a visual phonetic interpretation of the language
before I can pronounce it.
Unfortunately,
Rocket Language only does this to my pronunciation attempt.

Thanks for your review, Phillip. All French words and phrases included in the course are accompanied by both written French, and by English translations, as well as audio to tune your ear to French pronunciation. Our podcast-style audio lessons are fully transcribed. Unfortunately, we don't provide a phonetic interpretation of the language, but the following two lessons help learners recognize the sounds that each letter or accents make: "Alphabet and Pronunciation"; " Important Pronunciation Tips".
