easy to use and fun to lean, I never thought it would be this easy
I learn in my spare time and am always surprised at how much I learn
If you want to learn another language, then Rocket is the one for you
I have enjoyed learning Arabic the Rocket way but now for about the last 10 or 12 lessons they have been the same lesson. "Greeting". I would like to learn something new I would to be able to speak more quickly. Maybe some letter exercised would be beneficial.
So far this is an amazing course. This is a great way to learn Egyptian Arabic. The quality is very good as well as being easy to use. I would highly recommend this to my friend. Actually, my friend is joining now. I really am hoping that it will be a successful road to Arabic.
Listening to the audio lessons is very boring. You hear someone saying something in Arabic, and then they tell you what it is in english with a little bit of filler and sometimes a lame joke. There's too much english speaking in between the arabic, and after listening to it I don't recall anything from it. I then started doing some of the other activities and they're all very basic. This is much less advanced than Rosetta Stone. Rosetta Stone doesn't choose the most useful phrases to teach you when you start off, but at least it reinforces what you are learning in an easy way to pick up the language without a lot of filler talk in the language you already speak (english in my case). It's hard to motivate myself to listen to more of these Rocket Arabic lessons because they are so boring.
Response from Rocket Languages
Response from Rocket Languages: Hi Robert - We have added in a ton more standalone words and phrases that can be used with voice recognition. As well as that we have revamped the Language & Culture lessons.
I listen to the downloadable conversations when I am cleaning, working out, and every time I have a break... I just saved them to my phone and listen to those instead of music! I love the different activities! I have learned so much already! thank you! I wish the font of the Arabic words was larger so I could better learn how to put the letters together to form words. Thank you for a great learning platform!
I signed up a while ago but have been using it intensively for the last week - and I am really enjoying it! If you make use of all the different ways of testing yourself - recording, role playing, writing etc. - then you can make real progress quickly.
Just started to check out the Arabic Course. I am a professional translator and teacher who just attended an 50 hours Egyptian Course at my school and I must admit, this course is a great support to any regular classroom course since it gives you a chance to practice live language at home, highly recommended!
I love the voice recognition, which allows my pronunciation to progress quickly! The videos demonstrating how to write out the characters have also been immensely helpful, I would definitely recommend this.
Ahlan wa sahlan, Ana ismi Sajin, min al hind. Bravo alaikum for the people behind Rocket languages.
Very interactive and useful tutorials. I want to speak arabic to my colleagues here in UAE in coming 6 months.
I really enjoy studying with Rocket Arabic. It is a pleasant and practical course which makes you work without causing stress and frustration. I started some years ago but then left it and managed to forget a lot... but recently I have begun anew as I felt it was a great shame just to abandon it all and not to take the opportunity to learn this charming language. Rocket Arabic kept sending me the Rocket Fuel and this also helped to spur me up again. However, after I'd gone through the whole course for the first time, I happened to go to Egypt and had a wonderful time trying to practice. My colleagues there were quite excited about it and therefore also very helpful. There is a lesson about hiring a taxi - and it literally happened! It was ever so funny: whatever the taxi driver said to me was as if taken from the "book", so I simply replied with the answers I had learned in the course! "Akid", it was very satisfactory and gratifying.
