Find out what actual users have to say about our courses through their Rocket Languages reviews.
Good review of basics and builds on it for more advanced learning. Only been at it for a week, but excited to see what I will learn more. Some of the audio does not match with what I say. I double check with Google Translate and it doesn't not work( Première, Deuxième, Troisième, etc), However based on reviews that I read, it seems to have gotten better!
Still learning about how to use the app. It seems to work well on my Android phone, and voice recognition does not work on my iPad. I wish I could explore more alternate words and phrases that seem commonly used...according toSpanish speakers I attempt to engage.
I really love the voice recognition tool ! I play the dialogues again and again to improve my pronunciation, and even my children like the game and play it with me ! I find Sujung and Taewoo pronunciation clear and very helpful. I had a black friday price so I am also satisfied with the price.
How satisfied are you with your Rocket Languages experience? I've had it for a week now and so far it is pretty good as a refresher. The various learning elements are long but it forces re-learning the material. The voice part leaves a bit to be desired as it doesn't always recognize what I am saying even though I know I am pronouncing correctly. I don't like that the Spanish for "I" is pronounced with the English "J" sound. I am used to the Spanish spoken by Mexicans. Other than that the pronunciation seems to be pretty good overall.
How likely are you to buy again? Yes, I would buy it again.
Are you happy with the price? Yes, I am happy with the price. Very reasonable for both level 2 and 3.
Would you recommend Rocket Spanish to a friend? Yes, I would buy it again.
How was the Customer Service? Haven't had to use Customer Service. Therefore, I rated 5 stars pending contacting them.
I am thrilled with my Rocket Languages Korean course. I learn best by reading and writing, not by just hearing and repeating. Other more expensive courses don't provide all the reading and writing exercises that Rocket does. I do love the ability to record my voice and the algorithms that rate my pronunciation. That is a big help. But most of all I love the "Write It!" tool. That is the best thing to help me remember the vocabulary, as well as the pronunciation.
I love that I can study at my own speed, and reviewing whenever and whatever I want is so easy. It is such a thrill when I watch a video on YouTube or Instagram or a streaming drama and hear a new word that I just learned.
Rocket Languages is bettter than what i had before. The length of the lessons is very long for my taste though... ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;; ; ; ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Best learning app/ website I have used highly recommend to everyone but I don't know why I have to write like 200 characters for a review i might not even get to 200 but I'm going to milk it as much as i can it really is a good app i only have 7 day free trial but i am going to pay for the whole thing because it really is the best i have come across
Rocket misses the mark in many ways. Teaching phrases without a literal translation is not helpful. Ideally, one should know what each word in the sentence is, so that one can then compose one's own sentences. Additionally, the speakers speak very quickly and one can't really tell how they are pronouncing the words in spite of having them spelled out in cyrillic. Also when teaching color names, why aren't' there colors on the screen, or at least on the flash cards? And when there are nouns, why not a picture of the object? I've been learning languages for many years, and I like some of Rocket Language's features, but I have to say that Pimsleur, does a much better job of teaching one to actually speak and understand the language, and they give literal translations and help one understand the context and syntax of words. But Pimsleur only teaches the audio, and they are way too expensive to only do that. Rocket Languages does offer voice comparison, but I have my doubts as to how good it really is at telling me how close I am to correct pronunciation. Rocket Languages is okay, but not the greatest. However, it is affordable. But, their customer service isn't very good.
Thank you so much for re-recording the Japanese modules entirely with native speakers so that we can have an immersion experience in Japanese. That is so important. I found the original, non-native Kenny's voice to be very jarring. It is so much more pleasant to listen to the gentle speaking voice of the native male speaker. The format has always been excellent and I'll be devoting more time to Rocket lessons now.
I believe that the Rocket Languages Italian course is very useful and helps to obtain a basic level of understanding rapidly. I think that it is more efficient compared with now obsolete CD and audiotape courses that I have taken. It could be improved by adding a visual component, such as pictures of objects and foods that are mentioned.
