I met a Italian online and just wanted to learn to say Good Bye said this was Free and I like that price FREE FREE FREE I AM ON DISABILITY AND NOT WORKING SO THIS APP IS NO GOOD TO ME AT ALL but if I had the money I would pay it Chow
I've been practicing korean every night after work for the last two weeks, and it's really fun so far! For me this program is way better to study with than with a textbook, because you have to actually speak and write instead of just reading.
Wow. Way too many FAQ’s, As a retired language teacher I was hoping for something that was student-friendly but not so in this case. Far too complicated re:Technology.
No thanks- think I’ll join a face-to-face class!
The microphone on the trial program worked fine until I purchased the Spanish 1-3, then the microphone stopped working. I loaded the program onto another device, the microphone worked, but the 'play' button did not work!
Very difficult to concentrate when there are so many technical difficulties with the program.
Response from Rocket Languages
Hi KY - I am sorry to hear about your issues. Please contact customer support and we can set up a Skype call to get to the bottom of it.
At first I thought that the length of the interactive audio lessons would be a turn off, but it turns out they are actually really fun and engaging. Even more importantly, I am learning a lot! I just started using it, I went through the free trial (which I love that they offer) and then bought the program. I like that I can print out the transcripts of the lesson too. Visualizing what I am saying is important, especially for reading skills. I am very happy with the product, although I would not have been able to afford it if it was not on sale. Overall, would highly recommend if you are serious about learning a language. It is lifetime access so it is a good investment.
Love everything so far, but I’ve noticed that you are changing the voice actors with the audio files. In my opinion, I’d prefer the original combination of the English Kenny and the ‘Osaka’ kansai-jin Sayaka...especially Sayaka, whose accent, in both nihongo-ga and eigo-ga is very helpful in terms of realistic Japanese phonetics. The new Sayaka is less ‘endearing’ and the new Kenny-san has perhaps a too refined Kanto-style accent.
Thank you for this program. It really help to understand and to use specific words in each situation. I'm learning english and with the examples is easy the progress in this study. In the past I tried with differents program and app, but this is very nice. :)
I absolutely love Rocket Spanish. I have tried so many programs from Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, italki, and many more. This is by far the most beneficial program. It has a fantastic method of teaching. I am a Puerto Rican who spoke no Spanish and now living in Florida I see what a disadvantage speaking no Spanish was doing to me. After only completing half of lesson one, I am now able to hold somewhat of a basic conversation and it's only getting better. It really breaks down on how to read, write, pronounce, and use the vocabulary in the correct order. I am beyond grateful to Rocket Language. It's such a breeze that after this I am going to buy the Rocket French because I am that confident with this program. It's not only helping me with my native language but it's helped me to realize that I love learning different languages, and how much I want to venture out and try many more now. Thank you to Rocket Language!!!!
I think these Rocket courses have the right methodology. I've used them to learn German and French, and I felt how my listening proficiency and vocabulary went up pretty quickly. I don't use much the extra hearing, speaking and vocabulary games that are at the end of each lesson, but listening to the main audio lessons and doing the Rocket Reviews has been enough for me.
I am one week in having completed module 1 of level 1, I bought the course to mainly learn in the car on a 1.5 hour each way commute. I must say I am very impressed so far, the 'banter' between the course instructors is amusing and adds to the learning experience and always look forward to the next lesson. i do find I have to listen to the current lesson at least three times for it all to sink in but the followup exercises using the app are invaluable for reinforcing the lessons. Having only studied French at GCSE level (A grade ;-)) previously 30 years ago I do find I have to work out the grammar myself from the audio lessons and the app myself as its not always explained. This is just probably down to how I personally like learn so no real criticism of the course. Having said that I have had a sneak peak at later lessons and I think this will come in time. All in all its early days buy I'm very much enjoying and learning a lot from the course. What may be useful are some resources such as links to simple podcasts and children books to all read and learn from.
Excellente!
