Find out what actual users have to say about our courses through their Rocket Languages reviews.
I previously wrote a rather negative review of Rocket Language, based on a persistent problem I had with audio during the testing format. After submitting that review, I received an immediate email from the company. They wanted to detail the problem. Now other companies I have dealt with always say that when there is a problem, but basically dropped the ball. That is certainly not the case with this company. They tried to duplicate my problem on various formats. Apparently, the issue is only on my ipad. Even i can't replicate it on my iphone. I appreciate their prompt response and attempt to help. They even offered to refund my money, which i refused. I previously bought an completed the Pimsleur Spanish program. This program is much better and more interesting. The explanations are very helpful. I would certainly recommend Rocket Languages to anyone who wants to learn and understand a new language.
I was assigned by my employer to the only Spanish speaking country in Africa, so I started reading some quick guides and traveller's phrasebooks but after several weeks in country, I soon realized that I needed something much more comprehensive. I have previously used a more expensive language program to learn Thai when I was working in Southern Thailand, but Rocket Spanish had me understanding more, in a shorter time and I'm completely satisfied with the Rocket Spanish method. I recommend Rocket Spanish for anyone wanting to understand more and communicate more easily in Spanish! It's certainly working out well for me!
Relatively inexpensive one-time purchase, not a subscription that you have to keep paying for. Also a straightforward teaching method that tells you what is being taught, not making you guess/wonder. Lessons are clear- no ambiguity, no need to use a separate Spanish-English dictionary. Also the ability to record lessons to CD so you can play then in your car as you drive, without requiring you to watch pictures or animations. Also, Rocket Languages sends additional lesson tidbits via email - I haven’t seen that from anyone else. Lots of nice features in an effective learning package.
I have been learning Spanish for quite some time now, but was looking for something to help advance my talking and listening skills. I had considered Rosetta Stone, but that received mixed reviews. Impartial websites consistently gave great reviews for Rocket Spanish, and I can see why. It is quite pricey compared to some language courses (I think it was about £90 all in). That, however, is a fraction of the cost of Rosetta Stone, which doesn't let you keep your learning material after the year is up. With Rocket Languages, you get a lifetime of access to materials. There is an audio conversation at the start which introduces you to new words and phrases at a reasonable rate, then there are tests ranging from listen and repeat to listen and write. I like how you can "speak" to the characters by taking on the part of others and then listen to your conversation at the end. It is good to know how you sound when you speak Spanish. This is the best language course I have ever used and I don't hesistate to recommend it.
The most efficient way to learn a language, I recently finished the first level of the german language course and went to berlin. I was absolutley impressed with the progress I made. definitely recommended to anyone who wants to learn the german language!
I just started, I have no idea how I could rate your software at the present time. I do like that the program seems that I will be able to read and write as well becoming fluent. I expect the flash cards will serve me well. I have used them quite frequently in the past.
My experience with this software has been amazing. I've only been using it for a month for 1 hour a day, and my ability to understand and speak French has grown exponentially. I can listen to French songs and watch French TV and understand a good chunk of what they are saying!
so far Rocket french has proving to be a great learning tools toward my journey of fluency in french. I really enjoy the lesson- how it work on every skills needed to achieve fluency like listenning, speaking etc. So far i'm happy with my decision to my this pogram.
Rocket Spanish is pretty good. It's certainly better than other programs I have tried. Every so often it tests you on words you haven't learned. In one case it ends Module 1 with a survival kit of a list of 300 words, then assumes you know them in Module 2. This is ludicrous. One or two lessons refer to a beginners' book that is not included. The good part is the interactive call and response and the ability to easily go back and review lessons so you don't forget as much as you move on. Most words reoccur in several lessons so you don't forget. A few are not.
It is very frustrating that I cannot offline download the lessons in the app itself on my iPhone. It would have been better that way. I want to be able to use it in the car that way. I know you can download it through iTunes, but that is too cumbersome.
