Find out what actual users have to say about our courses through their Rocket Languages reviews.
Learning another language is a daunting task no matter how it is approached; however, Rocket Languages has made the process much less difficult thanks to their easy to use software. The best aspect of this program is how it aids in making the material interesting through a variety of exercises and techniques. Dedication and persistence are the only ways to truly absorb a language to any useful extent, and Rocket Languages has made this easier to achieve. I've personally used Rocket German and while it hasn't been my sole source of material in my quest for fluency, it is certainly the most flexible and adaptive of them. The program is solid and shouldn't be a challenge for anyone to use, even those who aren't technologically savvy. Luckily, there are several ways to access guides to the program through video tours and text. Support has been responsive in the few times I have needed it, which is much appreciated. I'd have to say that this program is one of the few out there that is worth the purchase price, and then some.
The voice recognition feature is so useless for "Kenny's" in the Japanese lesson. Some of the so easy phrases but couldnt be picked up by the software while it could be for tough, long sentences by Sayaka?
Es bueno, pero no tengo mucho dinero para comprarlo,lo recomiendo ampliamente, yo creo que serviria mucho para alguien que de verdad quiere aprender este o cualquier idioma, el precio se me hace muy elevado, estoy muy interesado pero si me hicieran un buen descuento por los tres niveles lo pensaria y probablemente me aceptarian, gracias. i like it but can't afford it at this time. thanks
I am almost 75 years old and it's a long time since I did any study, but I'm finding this programme stimulating and user friendly. It is a good balance between the written and spoken word and combining it with little cultural snippets makes it more interesting and brings some reality into the learning. I would recommend it to anyone at any level.
I was very apprehensive about buying this because I'm a student and this seemed like a huge investment. That impression changed after the first module. I had been trying to learn French from YouTube tutorials and Duolingo for a while and Rocket's software did better than both of those and has made me feel that it was worth the price I paid. Thank you.
Their customer service is awesome, I made a mistake on my purchase and they quickly resolved the issue! Awesome customer service! Their program is very content rich, I am excited to dig in and learn Spanish!
The lessons are good, but I'm finding the speaking exercises very frustrating. The voice recognition does not work very well. The exercises require repeating over and over because the voice recognition is so poor. I'm not saying my pronunciation is great or anything, but it isn't as bad as the software shows. It slows down the lesson and makes it a drag.
I love the verbal play back Where is in English at the bottom as Spanish it to top that's great those phrases You should be able to have a star by that if you wanna replay To work when it later weeks I used a program on the road because I'm a commercial driver the filling my time while I'm on the road is a great little device
I am learning French. The program is good but far from perfect. There are problems with voice recognition. Level 1, Chapter 5 has a summary test that tests words that have never been introduced. Who proofs this stuff? One new word, 'manquer', translation "miss". What kind of miss? The "stories" are usually 25 minutes long and of little value. Customer support? Virtually nonexistent. During weekday normal hours there is a help desk, when you complain about something she will refer to IT department. IT department has a perfect record of never getting back to me so I quit writing notes to improve the course. The French course is good but could be much better if Rocket had interest in improving.
It's been years since I've had a formal Japanese course, and was never near any level of conversational proficiency. I've tried other methods and courses to try and brush up on the language, but nothing seemed to stick. Though I'm only through the first lesson, it seems like this might be what can get me being conversational!
What really seems to help is the encouragement to speak and repeat the language, which is something that I've always been shy about. I plan to see this course through, and if there are ever any other languages I want to pursue, I'll definitely use Rocket Language!
