Find out what actual users have to say about our courses through their Rocket Languages reviews.
I am currently living in China and can immediately apply the newly learnt material. The best thing about this course is the ability to speak and have it rated afterwards. I feel my pronunciation has already improved and I feel more confident to speak or ask questions. I hope in the near future, I am able to follow and have a full conversation in Mandarin. The only thing I regret is not having found this course earlier!
I am just in the early Italian lessons but already I have a feel for the language. The ROCKET style is both immersive and explanatory. The lessons are based on real conversations and then verbs and grammar are expanded. The added cultural references are fantastic!
I think the strongest feature of the curriculum lies with the ability to record your own voice and compare it to the lesson speaker. I am able to speak and listen over and over, hearing every little inflection until I get it right. At the introduction to each lesson, it sounds difficult. At the end of each lesson it seems so easy. The review before each new lesson reinforces the previous lesson. As an instructor myself, I appreciate the careful lesson plan that engages vocalization, comprehension, vocabulary expansions, and written words. But unlike dry textbook style, the lesson is really just a typical conversation, so you feel able to jump right into a situation and understand. I have wanted to speak Italian my whole life so I can travel to Italy and now I am so exited that this is now within my reach.
I have just returned to Rocket German after a break of a few months and what a change for the better. As far as I can tell everything in both the Android app and the Windows version now functions flawlessly. I can take advantage of all the features and learning German with Rocket Languages has become a pleasure again. Rocket German is definitely my language learning programme of choice.
It really works too. I am currently visting Germany and can understand most of what is said. More surprisingly Germans even seem to understand me, which has not always been the case in the past. In fact I am so pleased that I am seriously considering trying the French version to see if it will help me brush up my very rusty French.
I have used Rocket Language course in the Past. It is found to be very useful. At present, I am using Rocket Chinese. My Spouse has started learning using a Rocket German Course.
I have no reservation in recommending Rocket Language courses to my relatives and friends.
The course at present is Audio. I suggest Rocket Languages to introduce Video Courses.
Pretty happy with this programme, and I've already recommended it to a few other people who were interested in learning some of the available languages. Having tried other programmes, including "the biggie" in the computer language-learning market, I must say that I like this better.
If I had more available time, I would really like to work on another language, but... !
I have started to learn Italian with Rocket Languages less than 2 weeks ago. I spend quite some time every day - and I can say that my progress is just fantastic. My goal is to have an awareness in basic situations within 2 months - and I am now sure I will come to it. I want to surprise my Italian friends and colleagues next time we meet - as they don't think I speak any Italian. Good idea - isn't it? And by the way just last week I have been refused to get a job - because Italian was needed. Never again I want to be in the same situation - it cannot be a point to be refused.
Italian is my third foreign language - and the Rocket Languages methodology is so efficient I could never think of. I encourage everybody thinking of picking up a new language - don't hesitate, go for Rocket Languages and for sure you won't be disappointed.
Rocket Italian is a great primary tool to use in learning Italian. The interactive audio lessons are engaging and they do a very good job of getting you to speak and write in Italian. The language and culture lessons offer a more in-depth opportunity to delve into the grammar and other technical issues of learning a language.
Sometimes you see something in one of the lessons that isn't explained as thoroughly as it could be (it is hard to cover EVERYTHING without being overwhelming). A place where Rocket Italian really shines is the forum. For most web sites, the Q&A forum is a black hole where questions go to disappear. For Rocket Italian, it is truly a valuable resource for filling in the blanks - led by terrific tutor Lucia!
As a point of comparison, a few years ago, I tried the "big name" in language learning. It was terribly disappointing. I spent 3x on "big name" compared to Rocket Italian, and it was not 1/10th as good. When I decided to re-commit to learning Italian, I did a lot of research and demo'd a few other offerings. Rocket Italian is by far the most comprehensive and fun to use. Highly recommend to anyone who has decided to get serious about learning a new language.
I moved to France without speaking a word of French and bought this program after reading some good reviews of it online. I've bought some other online resources but Rocket French is the only one I've ended up coming back to repeatedly for self-study. The dialogues are well done: I like the brief explanations of the vocab and the repetition is helpful without being tedious. I've actually been able to use the structures in real conversation here in France. The program has been improved a lot even since I bought it, and now you can practice what you learn in every possible format--- writing, reading, speaking, listening --- and the ability to download the audio is great if you want to listen to it in your car. Sometimes I listen to a dialogue several times before looking at the transcript and this helps me figure out how well my listening comprehension is coming along. I'm really happy with this program and recommend it to anyone looking for an entertaining way to learn French.
I lived in Germany for a many years well and really didn't put my best foot forward into learning the language and then I had to go to the school and learn it. It was rather difficult because there were many different cultures in the class. Asking the teacher a question became impossible with so many people asking questions in they're native tongue can be overwhelming. I became discouraged and didn't put more into learning.
My job didn't require me to speak Deutsche so why bother, but then I needed it for every day life in order to go shopping going on the transit and so forth. I made another attempt and some of it stuck.
Present day... I'm looking to move back to Deutschland in the near future and I wanted to do allot better...
This time round I wanted to know more than what I had.
I started searching the web for learning schools but that was too pricey and the times were conducive to my job.
So the search went on and I wasn't getting no where.
I went on youtube and did my search and there advert sent me to Rosetta Stone...
The first thing I do is read the reviews and if I don't get a good vibe I move on...
Glad that I did...
I'm moving to China next year and had no knowledge of chinese, didn't know where to start, so Rocket Chinese was very useful for me a start to my learning path. Learning the language takes everyday practice and this site allows to do just that. I was plesantly surprised with level of exercises, I didn't think an online course would give me a chance to pratice spelling and writing.
Even if you want to take live lessons, I highly recommend to start with Rocket Chinese and use live lessons as supplementary materials later, once you've grasped the basics. Will save you lots of time and money! I highly recommend Rocket Chinese (and other Rocket Languages, I've also tried Rocket Spanish) for all you beginner learners like me.
