I completed Pimsleur Egyptian Arabic Level 1 and attempted some Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) for 2 weeks before going back to focusing on a dialect since nobody speaks MSA. This course is great but to get the most out of it, you have to focus on writing & reading everything (no shortcuts) in Arabic Script as many times as necessary until you don't have to rely on the latin (Franco-Arabic Script). Only then, can you move on to reading Arabic (Egyptian) Press, Books, Graded Readers, song lyrics etc... This program will get you to a solid intermediate!
I fell in love with Japanese through Anime. The Japanese Grammar is so different from all the other languages I speak. One really has to learn to think like a Japanese person and I think Rocket Japanese really has the best approach to it. Explaining Grammar where it is necessary and leaving it aside where it isn't. Their program is also the most pragmatic one. You really learn relevant stuff for every day life. Other programs make you speak like a lifeless robot, not Rocket Japanese. It also is the most comprehensive language course for Japanese I know of. The price may be a little bit high but it seems to be worth it. The reason why I probably won't be buying any other courses is that I already bought the 3 levels for Japanese. It already is my 5th language and I don't want to add another one.
Accessible and targeted, this course has been really helpful so far. No one else in my family or circle of friends is trying to learn Russian, so it's been harder to find authentic audio, which this course has really helped with.
I am finding the Rocket Italian course really helpful in learning the language. I have wanted to learn Italian for some time, but was always nervous that I might freeze up when actually faced with needing to speak it. But the voice recording and playback options online negate this as it allows you to become accustomed with pronunciation and helps build self confidence.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the lessons, and feel like Maria and Alex have become daily friends I "hang out" with. I would definitely recommend this course if you are desiring to learn the language!
Rocket Languages is a fantastic way to learn a new language. This program is truly appealing.... The Rocket review makes this application a fun and complete learning experience. Although the price made me think twice, Rocket Languages is worthy. It is really worth it. I recommended to those who are unsure... Trust me, this is a great investment.
IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE, AND APPEALING. IT DOES HAVE SOME NULL VIDEOS WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO PRACTICE THOSE SECTIONS, BUT IN GENERAL IT'S A GREAT WAY TO LEARN ASL. The system is great an the videos are very good. Some are done fast, specially the left hander interpreter, and it gives you the challenge to read left side

There shouldn't be any "null videos", can you please contact customer support with details!
I'd like to start with a statement, that this is a very subjective opinion. I have been active user of Rocket Italian for some 4 months. At the same time I was (also very actively) using another programs, like Duolinguo, Memrise, RosettaStone and various on-line Italian podcasts and learning programs "on the fly", both on PC and on a mobile devices (mainly smartphone) - News in Slow Italian, Learn Italian etc. Having such a broad experience I can say, that Rocket Italian is a very useful and efficient way of learning Italian. What I wanted most is to avoid direct comparisons between various platforms, especially because such comparisons are not reasonable. Probably there is not a single universal platform for everybody, and there seems to be no "one fits all" philosophy, at least when it comes to programs facilitating language learning. Every platform is oriented slightly differently, and possibly is optimal for different types of learners (visual, audio, kinetic, mixed etc), wanting to learn different skills first/most (grammar, vocabulary, speaking, etc.). But taking into consideration all this things I can say honestly, that Rocket Italian is OPTIMAL FOR ME.
I have been studying Rocket Egyptian Arabic since early April and it is the highlight of my day. I have tried several courses over the years and this one seems to be working for me. I work on the computer for about half an hour most days and I have downloaded the conversation to my MP3 player and listen to two or three lessons while I am out running in the morning. I have never had an ability to learn languages in the past and have been struggling with Arabic on and off for a number of years but I am determined to stay with this programme and I am hopeful I will be able to master a reasonable level of communication by the time I get to the end of the course. I'm loving it!!

Just coming up on ten days using Rocket Language, and the flexibility and ease of use have allowed me to develop good habits so far. The course is well organized, and varied, which helps with avoiding boredom, particularly during the necessary repetition of early stage practice. The audio is well done, and the multi-platform nature of the testing makes it possible to study in small bits, or in bursts, whichever fits my energy level and schedule for the day. It's not without weaknesses - I could wish for a few more visual aids, and charts for focused review. It may be I simply haven't progressed far enough into the subject material to find these yet. Having completed one module in 9 days, I'm going to try to sustain a similar pace going forward. It appears this will require between 1 and 1.5 hours a day in Level 1. Will update if necessary. Also, for keyboard users, some of the written testing can be accomplished much more quickly if you use a keyboard-mouse click option - hover the mouse over the rating key you use most often, and create a hot-key to click with - increases speed and reduces frustration, for me, anyway.
