I am coming to the end of the second module in Level 1 Italian after a few weeks of studying for about an hour per day. I like the structure of the course overall and enjoy the various methods used to help the language penetrate my slow brain! At times there does seem to be a slight disconnect though in the sense that the ‘language and culture’ sections which follow the situational interactive audio lessons provide information that would have been useful to know prior to commencing the latter. Looked another way, I guess I could say that they reinforce the earlier lessons but, for me, some of this knowledge would have been useful ‘up front’ to assist in the understanding of those lessons. That aside, to date, I am very happy with the course; it has held my attention and kept me motivated. Let’s see if this remains the case in the coming months and years!

The program is very easy to get used to. It helps keep you interested in the language, and gives you real world examples. The only thing I would like is more information about writing and reading. Otherwise this is a great program for anyone wanting to learn a new language.

Rockt Italian is very well designed. There is lots of repitition. Learning aids such as flash cards and the voice recording feature make this the best overall package I've found. The prompts in English, in which you are required to provide the correct word in Italian, cement the learning and highlight the words and phrases that haven't stuck. The biggest obstacle to learning is my own brain. After months, and hours of hours of practice, my progress in the real world is quite limited. I am recognizing more and more individual words and phrases. Things like numbers, days of the week, names of vegetables and products at the store, etc. are becoming familiar. However, I still cannot hold a simple conversation. But it's due to my facilty with learning a language, not the program. I mention this because there's no magical cure to learn a language. Lots and lots of practice and hearing the language in everyday transactions is the only way.

The only poorly-performing feature is the voice recordings in the practice exercises. I have a good headset with a microphone almost touching my mouth. It often doesn't work--the program can't pick up what I'm saying, or hears it wrong. There should be a built-in mic test in the program that lets you boost the levels and dial it in bettter. Or just a better recording module installed.

I have had the opportunity to try the lessons for about a week and I am very pleased. I'm older, so, it may take me a little longer to be able to memorize, but, I am able to track/understand and follow the program. I believe that it is a very good value for the money. I look forward to writing another review in about 6 months with progress results. Thank you!

I started using Rocket Italian just one month ago and I can feel myself growing more and more comfortable with the language. I love the variety of ways the information is presented. I enjoy that each lesson makes you repeat and write the vocabulary/phrases so that they really stick. I am excited to continue learning and feel that I will be able to speak with increasing confidence as the lessons continue.

This is working out great for me. I took Italian in college over 30 years ago, so I've forgotten almost everything, but it's all coming right back to me. The interactive audio is good practice, and I like the themed lessons. They sneak in the grammar rules, so it doesn't get boring.

Couldn't be happier with the Chinese course I recently bought. Only got it a few days ago, but I've sunk hours and hours into it... it's surprisingly engaging and I'm normally not so studious. And a big shout-out to Margaret, the CSR who helped me with an issue earlier. Honestly her customer service was the stimulus that brought me to the reviews page.

Im extremely satisfied with Rocket Language French Course. I truly believe that you are the best French online Course. Having bought many Courses years ago, I regret to try to use them so late, due to many problems of time. I suposse that one proof of my honest judgment is that I am 77 years old, so I don´t like to state what I don´t feel as true. Your bilingual teaching is one of the most important things that you could have chosen. Very nice! Also, the high technical resources you have here, plus the easy way to connect with your website without the horrible experiences in other websites...!, the beautiful presentation of your Courses, attracting and pleasant customers to follow the lessons, and the thourouglhly care you have put in every lesson , helping students to really improve their french knowledge , these are powerful reasons for me to have no doubts at the time of a language website option. I indeed pray to have a long life time to enjoy and take advantage of your French Course, and maybe other ones if I should have time to deal with them. . Wow! Rocket Languages has helped me so much and I cannot thank the creator enough! Learning how to speak and understand Spanish has been a goal of mine as a child, but now I am nearly fluent in the language.

I bought the Rocket Spanish course a couple of months ago. It's fun and engaging so I use it most days, which has improved my Spanish from only knowing how to say hello, to being able to have a conversation! It covers everything you could possibly want to know and more. Overall, I've really enjoyed using it and I look forward to buying a new Rocket Language course once I have completed Spanish.
