The writing and recording features are very cool, and I like the audio clips for while I'm driving - I pair this with Pimsleur and find its a nice blend between textbook learning and audio learning thanks to the interactive lessons, plus being able to do it online is very helpful and gets my practice typing with the spanish keyboard.
This app has helped me so much with improving my Korean skills. I started off with this website knowing zero words of Korean and now I can not only read, but write it. It provides you with authentic accents and full conversations between native Korean speakers which make it easier to pronounce the words correctly and understand the way they communicate. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon a website that is not only affordable but also very user friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who is beginning a language or even someone who is unsure of where they stand on a language. It really helps you a lot.
I have learned many words using another (and free) internet program but my recognized written vocabulary is much weaker than my conversational vocabulary. Rocket's emphasis upon the spoken word is what I need to work on now. I expect to make annual trips to Ecuador for the next few years and definitely need advanced conversational skills.
I am an adult learner and have a real-life need to have a good working use of Spanish for travel and work in Central and South America. I have been studying Spanish for about 6 years so I have a fairly good grasp of the language. I have used all the widely-known, self-directed courses, multiple online resources, have a small library of Spanish books, even hired a tutor at the cost of $100/hour from Colombia. Bottom line in all of this, is that learning a new language is work- a lot of work. What you get out of your learning experience is directly related to how much effort you're willing to put in. I rarely endorse anything unless it stands out from the crowd or impresses me. I like several things about this program. First the price- it's a good value and a one-time purchase for however much you want to dive in. It doesn't continue to gouge you month after month. You buy it- it's yours for life. And if you're a new learner or even intermediate level, you will return to this as a resource over and over. Because (very important) you will NOT absorb every single bit of information the first time around. To think you will have 100% recall after one-time through is extremely unrealistic.
Rocket Spanish has been so helpful. The dialogues are good for listening in the car, and the exercises make sure you are thinking, understanding, and pronouncing correctly. This is better than any other language tool I've used outside of the classroom.
Pretty Cool software. Nice recognition and crazy points system keeps me motivated.
Much better value than Pilmsler in my opinion.

This course is the first I've tried with the voice recognition feature and I greatly appreciate its ability to help me with speaking out loud, both in my pronunciation and level of confidence. I had studied Italian for a few years and had a good understanding of basic grammar and possessed a decent vocabulary, but never mastered the speaking without feeling a bit self-conscious.
I chose to start Rocket Italian at Level 1 and enjoyed the material. I'm on to Level 2 and intend to eventually do Level 3 as well. So far this has been a very positive experience and am glad I chose Rocket Languages.
I have looked for quite some time for a French program that would help me practise my skills and I have to say I am very impressed with this program. You don't even realize that you are absorbing the language, and by the end of the lesson you are amazed with what you remember!
It is an amazing website to learn. I am at the 3rd day of trial and I will definately buy a course. I hope I can speak German fluently after a short time. The best thing I like of the web is the recording of my voice. I can hear my own voice and check if I say it wrong or right.
I haven't been on in a long long time. Rocket Japanese/Sayaka San sent updates weekly Honestly I read through them but never came to the site. Until today. Today I clicked on the interactive lessons. It is exactly what I needed right now. I really like that you can record yourself and see how close you come to a native speaker's speech. They provide you with realistic scenarios as well. It's a really good program and I am glad I am back. So--don't worry that you have been gone awhile. You may also just what you need at just the right time.
