chinese movies with english subtitles

I just want to thank Robert for his feedback to my question.I also thank Lin Ping for her suggestions as well.I will also watch some Chinese drama shows with American subtitles to see if that will also help me grasp what I am learning.Is that okay to try?

I think it is useful to watch movies and shows where the dialog is in Mandarin but with English subtitles. However, this is of limited utility since the word order is so different between the languages. CCTV-4 has lots of shows from China where they speak Mandarin and they have both hanzi and English subtitles. CCTV-9 is an English based network out of China and a lot of their shows have English hosts but when talking to Chinese people do so in Mandarin, showing English subtitles.
