A think a mistake in the English. A doctor fills out a prescription NOT the patient. Yet Tao is going to get his prescription filled out at the pharmacy (chemists)? I am very confused. Please correct or explain is Tao the Doctor and Lin the patient? Howard

Hi Howard,
Sorry for the confusion there. Tao is getting his prescription filled, not filled out. So the doctor has written the prescription for him and he is going to the pharmacy/chemist to get it filled. Does that help clarify? Lin is playing the part of the worker at the pharmacy/pharmacist and Tao is the patient. In the previous lesson is where you see Tao getting the prescription from the doctor at the hospital.
Let me know if you need further clarification.

Yes thanks for ther reply. But my point is that you try to be too clever sometimes being idiomatic rather than just plain translation in order to sexy-up the dialogue. Lisa explains the translation then goes on to dramatically alter it! Also some American idioms are slipping in: be careful! We don't all understand American English. Hence the misunderstanding "fillied in/out etc"
Please get rid of Tao absolutely terrible voice sorry but having listened for a while I cringe at trying to understand/hear his voice.
Also who is on the 2011 lessons? It will make my choice as to whether to buy or not
Howard
