network problem - Unable to record - Desktop + Android

Hi Friends,

Does recording work for anyone else? It seems to be broken on desktop and android for me. 

Here is a recording that immediately displays a “network” error, and I have internet for sure. I've tried daily for the last 4-5 days.

This was the main reason I spent so much on Rocket. It's a huge bummer if it does not work. 

Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this??

Thanks very much for getting in touch with us, and I'm sorry to hear about the technical difficulties you're experiencing! 

The issue that you're having on desktop may be due to the type of browser that you're using. The Rocket Record (voice recognition) feature works best on Chrome and on Safari12+. Firefox, Safari 11, and Edge will record audio without pronunciation feedback, while all other browsers, including Internet Explorer, can only play the tutor's audio. Are you able to try using Chrome or Safari12+ to see if this resolves the issue? 

As for the problem on Android, could you confirm whether you're using the Android app? This is the best and most effective way to access your courses on Android mobile devices. (If you are indeed using the app and are still experiencing this problem, please do let me know and I'll pass this on to our technical team straight away so that we can get it sorted out!)

Thank you for the help. I've replied back to your email. It works on chrome! 

However, the app still does not work.

I'm glad to hear that switching to Chrome has sorted things out for you on desktop! As you'll probably have already heard from our Customer Support team via email,  the problem with the app seems to have been caused by a new Android 13 update; however, our technical team is working to get that sorted out and hope to have a solution very soon.
