I was wondering how proficient you need to be before proceeding to the next lesson. Im only at Lesson 1.5. There are two sentences I am trying to remember but keep messing them up. Should I proceed to 1.6 or master these two sentences first?

In my experience you can probably go ahead to the next lesson, but you definately need to keep going back over whatever you are having a problem with. I have done this sort of thing several times now. Looking at lesson 1.5 it seems to be a very short and very basic lesson, so I have no idea what the problem sentances are.
You will definately need to know each lesson very well when you take the proficiency test, and I found that I had to go back and review each lesson when I took the test. Don't worry, a month or so from now it will seem sooooooo easy!

It depends on your learning style. Just bear in mind that you will not understand 100% of the grammar rules for some of the sentences till much later in the course (or even till later courses). Some audio lessons include other tenses (non-present tense) conjugations or reflexive verb usage before those topics are covered.
I try to master a lesson before moving on, but I don't expect to remember it all after I have moved on. I use the know it feature as a gauge to figure out when I am ready to move on. However, some people prefer rushing through the lessons.

For me my spanish language learning will be a life long process. My accumulated books, papers, CD's, etc. and of course Rocket Spanish always teach me something more each time I review them. Each review the pieces seem to fit together better.
To answer your question Tammy, you should review it as long as you are comfortable. Enjoy the surprise days, weeks, months, years later when you go back over the lesson and you again learn something more!

Well said Patrice. I too have accumlated books, papers, notebooks etc, and learn from many different areas.
I started my Rocket Spanish course about two years ago, and although it appears that I have really been going slow, I take lots of notes, do lots of practice, and spend quite a bit of time on it. Recently I decided that I would go back and review the entire Premium and Premium Plus course before starting the Platinum level.
I found a bunch of things that either I had either forgotten or just skipped over the first time. You never finish learning!

Thank you for all your tips. Yes, I think it is a life long learning process depending on your exposure and how much time you dedicate to learning. I thought I would take this program since I didn't feel much advancement taking classes. I completed level 1, 2, 3, took 3 again, then returned to 2. I find that this program is much easier since it focuses on communication. The classes I've been taking are focusing on vocabulary, parts of speech, and reading. I don't find it great since you can't really practice talking since time has been on theory and reading. I am so glad to have made this decision to try this program. It is great!!!!!!
Does anyone know how long you have access to the program for?

Hola Tammy y todos,
I took Spanish 1 & 2 in college, close to 40yrs. ago, and got straight A's but I too learned nothing about actually conversing and did not continue with Spanish until bout 5yrs. ago at at the age of 62 I ordered RS. I too am glad I made that decision and agree it's a great program. I now speak in Spanish at restaurants and stores when possible, watch TV, listen to the radio, read, and everyday learn a bit more. Always reviewing. My wife dropped out of Rocket early but she can't help but learn a little as I am always speaking and practicing aloud. She says sometimes I even talk in my sleep in Spanish. After purchase you have access to RS for ever is my understanding. ¡Buena suerte con español!
Saludos,
Rich
