Hello fellas :) In january I bought my second course of Rocket Spanish (R.S Premium+) and I finished it this tuesday ;-D I noticed that when you get farther into the new lessons they speed up the conversation a bit , so that we can listen to how fast Spanish really is. That was fine in the first two programs, BUT ! : Now that I purchased the last and best program (Platinum) I find it hard to understand the incredible fast way of speaking ! I can understand when they speak like medium, but when they are at full speed like arguing or just telling something really quick, I can barely understand a word. I'm from Norway and we don't speak that fast, maybe that's why...
Can anyone tell me how I can improve my brain to make it understand the fast way of speaking? I know radio and such will help, but I haven't improved... Currently I'm watching programs called "Españoles en el mundo" which is a program where Spanish people live in other countries. Please answer me quickly :D Gracias.
Problem with the rapid Spanish speaking!

Hello, I forgot to reply to your comment a month ago. I don't know how I can help you, but all I can say is to search on Google in what you don't understand. Like me, for instance, I can properly understand the Subjunctive, but I would most likely never get it right when I write it or speak it :(

I think you are doing all the right things. You just need more time. Your brain may still be translating what you hear into Spanish versus actually thinking in Spanish. Great job 0n finishing level 1 and 2.

I don't know if this applies to you, but I take advantage of the printed version of the conversation and follow along while I listen. I listen repeatedly while following along with the written word until each word in the spoken Spanish is recognizable. I then practice further with the audio without the printed dialogue to assist me. Listening seems much easier then. Perhaps this method might work for you as well.

When I first started the Platinum course I had exactly the same feeling! As of now I am about half way through, and it's getting easier.
It just takes a bit of getting used to the rapid speech, and since I play them in my car it comes on every time I drive someplace. I'm much better now, especially since you learn most of the new words as you go along.
I'm really glad that it works like that, because when I went to Mexico last month I discovered that I understood almost everything that was said, and it didn't seem to fast at all.

I think just repeating each section will help. Also listening to the audio all the time.
