pronunciation of the letter v.

i hear the letter v pronounced as b and pronounced as v. which is correct?

thanks for the post and i hate to nitpick but in my Pimsleur audio a word like vamos is clearly pronounced bamos. with rocket spanish it is clearly pronounced vamos. viente is biente while with you viente is viente. your version makes much more sense. even some of my mexican friends can't clearly explain it. in your pronunciation guide you say beh sounds like veh but to me they don't at all alike. with Pimsleur being almost all conversational it was very hard to pick up words. your course is WAY better than Pimsleur by the way.
