Korean Extra Vocabulary Section

Is it just me or does the speaker in the Korean "Extra Vocabulary" section speak super fast? I know the two Korean speakers in the audio lesson speak quite slowly, but that really helps me with difficult words. During the long sentences in the "Extra Vocabulary" section, I can barely distinguish certain parts of words that I really need to practice.

I know listening to native Koreans speak at a normal pace helps, but when I have to repeat the sentence and get "graded" on it, it'd be nice if I could listen to each word more carefully and work on the pronunciation.

It would be nice to have both options (slow versus native) but that is probably never going to happen.  Given one choice between practicing at native speeds versus slow speed, I would still pick native speed even though it make initially learning it harder.  Native speed is what we encounter in real life so that is what we need to tune our ears for.

Just a thought mlee8213 I hav a Sony Walkman (do they still make them?) Which I use mainly for my playback of conversations because you can slow the speed down in increments all the way down to half speed, it is really small and is handy just to carry around.

Robert-C& that's true, natural speed is better in the long run.

Thanks grahame-r,but I'm guessing that it for CDs? I just have the online version, not a physical one.

Please keep in mind that you can also download the audio lessons and transfer them into any device that you would like to, like CDs, Mp3 Players, etc. All you need to do is access the audio lesson and click (or right-click) on "Download this interactive audio lesson" and select "Save link/target as".
