"LITERAL" — a new feature?

I'm working on Japanese module 8.0 and noticed that in the "Extra Vocabulary" section there is a small link to the left of one of the vocabulary words. When you hover over it, it gives a literal translation of the vocabulary phrase (in this case, きいて ください / 聞いて下さい which is translated in the context of the lesson as, "Please ask me" but literally means "Please listen").

Is this a new feature of Rocket?

It has also appeared in German.
I think it is a good idea, although the text is not always "literal".

It think it would be a good idea to change it to "help". It could also be used to provide help on difficult bits in the text. There are quite a lot of things, at least in German, that aren't immediately obvious.

May I ask what level of German you noticed it in?

I remember that there were instances in Level 1 Japanese where I wished for more literal translations, but I randomly checked a few modules and non of them had it.

Maybe "alternate translation" might be a better way to phrase it? I worry that people might mistake "help" for some type of site / technical help.

The literal button in certainly in levels 2 an 3, I don't have level 1, but I expect it is there too.

If "help" won't do, maybe "hint"? But "alternate translation" covers what is there at the moment.

I do think there is a need for some kind of tutors notes to explain things that are difficult. Many of the posts on the forum are about things people don't understand in the german phrases.
