New feature needed: Flashcard with the full vocabulary

I would really like the possibility to practice the vocabulary of every lessons/modules in a single place. It would be a very useful feature and would make the learning experience better.

From a technical point of view it shouldn't require too much work either.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Jean,

Thank you for your suggestion! The ability to practice the vocabulary from various lessons/modules in one place would indeed be a valuable feature for learners. While I'm not part of the technical development team, I can certainly pass on your feedback to them. They'll consider the feasibility and potential implementation of such a feature.

Your input is important for improving the learning experience, so thank you for sharing your ideas.

Best regards!

This is a long standing request, so I don't think you will see anything soon. You might want to look at Anki (ankiweb.net), it is an open source study card program that can be pretty simple or very complex, depending on what you want.  They have many community built card decks, but for what you want, it might be easier to create your own.

Best of luck!

Scott C is right.  Plus, you can download all your Rocket vocab from this site with one click, giving you the spreadsheet to upload to Anki.  I've done it, and with the aid of a YouTube video, it was easy.

Thanks for the replies!

I also have custom decks in Anki, but with without the pronunciation of the words which is a big reason why I use Rocket Language. Hearing the word again and again is a big plus to remember it better and the correct way to pronunce it. I imported a few community decks with sound but never found something as qualitative as Rocket.

That's why it would be so much easier to have everything in the website instead of importing everything in Anki.

What a bummer that this feature is not added!

Even a flashcard option for the saved vocab would be enough. They could also implement Anki in the website, which would even be better.

I would love Anki on this site, it would drive me to this site MUCH more. They did implement what you suggested in the past but they couldn't make it work well, so they removed it.

I would like to have a downloadable/printable flashcard option, so I can practice anywhere when I don't want to use an electronic device. I also like posting things on my fridge and around the house to help me familiarize myself with the written version taped to the actual object, for example, a lamp. Having these visual representations of the object in writing while taped to the actual object would be helpful in assisting me to learn the words better.

Hi All

Basically I am not very technical, so basically I have notes on my fridge. Have them on a bathroom  mirror. Brushing my teeth is no longer so boring : ) I find actually writing them down actually helps me to remember them too. I guess we all have different requirements and no language program will ever fill all of them. As far as Rocket goes it's great from a cost point of view and content.  I like to save individual words and put gender or any other grammar point that I need to remember. Then it is highlighted in other lessons and I can click on it and revise

Happy learning

I would also like Flashcards with pronunciation. I ended up getting an inexpensive app on my phone that has about 1300 words/phrases that it will play through. First saying inglese, I say italiano then it says italiano. Use it in the car alot.

Great suggestion for Rocket Languages!

I second that!

All your learned vocabs in one place with flashcards.

Especially with a spaced repetition feature included and the audio playback. That would be a big gamechanger.

I was desperately looking for that here and ended up on this forum post.

I use Anki for my saved vocab,

looks like this, that when I save vocab on rocketfrench, I put it into Anki as well,

including TTS (text to speach).
I don't remember how I installed the TTS plugin for anki, but google/youtube should be helpful ;-)

What would be even greater, and some other language apps offer that, would be a costum flashcard set of ones saved vocab including spaced repetition.
It would be a wonderful addition to the already so comprehensive rocket languages courses.
I don ‘t understand why the company hasn’t reacted to the numerous requests yet, as it would be another argument to buy rocket languages, so they could make more money while offering an better learning experience then it already is.

I think rocketfrench is great and so comprehensive, but spaced repetition would make it even better!
