New visual interface

Am I the only one having trouble reading text on this new interface? The combination of the very small font and the gray on white is making it very difficult for my old eyes to read well. I just switched to a new pair of glasses which seem to exacerbate the problem, but it still seems difficult.

Dan, I can see how that would be a problem. Grey on grey or grey on white just isn't quite as easy to read and doesn't seem really peppy to me in general. It seems like they could make the font a bit darker, perhaps bolder, and possibly larger, considering the space available. 

You may be able to enlarge the fonts from your menu bar at the top of your computer screen. Look under the "view" menu for the "enlarge" or "reduce" options. I'm working on my Mac at home, so I can't remember exactly how the commands are labeled on the PC I use at work, but they should be similar. There are also keyboard shortcuts for enlarging or reducing font sizes quickly without having to drag your mouse up to the top of your page all the time. They'll be displayed along with the texts in the menu bar.

The new interface took some getting used to and there still are some modules that do not load or work properly yet that need reporting.

Hi Tony - All modules should be working properly. If they are not then we need to know about it to we can fix it! If you haven't already, can you please email customer support if you find any rogue lessons, along with the browser that you are using. Sorry for the inconvenience.

In general I like the new interface. I especially like how incomplete modules are expanded while completed ones (I think) are supposed to be collapsed unless opened by the user.

I am retaking Rocket Spanish Premium Plus, and have successfully completed all units in Module 9 and 10, and am working on Module 11. Whenever I go to the Platinum Plus page, Module 9 is expanded even though it has been completed, Module 10 is collapsed as it should be, and Module 11 is open since it is the one I am currently working on. I also notice that the Premium course seems to be working properly: all modules have been completed and are collapsed. The Platinum seems to be working well also: all modules are expanded since I have done very little work in that course and have not completed any modules.

Are other people experiencing this as well?

I have found the expand/collapse feature to work exactly as you mentioned, Dan. I like the new interface. Kudos to Rocket Languages.
 

I am experiencing the same in the expand/collapse matter. A completed module will expand every time I open the page.

Also hovering over the page is getting on my nerves. It is impossible to switch from say, a lesson, to the forum without 'locking' the page first by clicking on my level, and even then it is quite an acrobatic trip to reach either forum of badges.

Hi Dan/Steven - Sorry for the delayed response. It looks like you have the Survival Kit lesson with the Advanced Grammar Book to manually rate in Module 9, hence it's not auto-collapsing.

Hi Bolletjeb - You should be able to access the forum directly from the sidebar navigation from any page. If there is something else going on then please contact customer support with a full description of the issue!

Describing problems with this website and reporting errors (in my case RF) seems to take more time by now than learning French. I'm getting fed up with reporting and hardly seeing any suitable troubleshooting. What I get is standard apologies and sorry's, sometimes no reaction at all, or only weeks after reporting. They are always "working on it". 

@Jason, I think I gave a full description of the issue above. If you couldn't ''read" it, it would have been nicer if you had asked for particular details you need to solve the problem.

Hi Bolletjeb - On the face of it your description didn't make much sense to me. You mention that it's difficult to switch from a lesson to the forum or badges page, yet both the forum and badges links are in the left hand navigation, and therefore accessible from any page. However, obviously you are having an issue, so I was asking for clarity around exactly what that was. 

Jason, I'll take a shot at what Bolletjeb might be talking about.  If you click on one of the main tabs for Premium Level 1, Premium Plus, and Platinum you will see a page with the left side bar containing Badges, Forum, etc. and main page has the lesson titles.  However, when you scroll down into the page, either on the left or the main page, you get another view which contains a summary of all the lesson titles for that level.  This page does not have a side menu to get to Badges or Forum.  You'd have to go back up to the top tabs or select a lesson at which would again show the side tab.  I'm not saying this is something that needs to be fixed.  At least for me, it's not a problem.

Hi Byron - I am wondering if you are seeing something completely different to me (which would be odd), and/or I am still not getting it.

The left hand sidebar navigation is always there (on every page), you just need to scroll back up the page to see it.

How are you getting the "another view"? Perhaps you could email me with screenshots? That might be the quickest way to get to the bottom of it.
