Provide text of audio lesson?

Hi,

I'm  new to this (Italian) course and am loving it, particularly because it gives such good groundwork for the lesson during the initial audio lesson.  However, some things might be said in there that I want to refer back to and I don't want to re-listen to the 20 minute conversation to find the one comment.  Could you provide the ability to see the entire text?  That way, if I know, for instance, that ‘ecco’ was explained in the audio and I find myself confused on this, rather than listening to the 20 minutes (or trying to fast-forward through it) to find that part, I could just scan the text for that word or phrase I want to review and save some time.

Thanks for your consideration,

Jan

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your feedback on the course.

We appreciate your suggestions as we are always working on improving the course. I have passed your comments on to our Product Development team for their consideration.

Kind Regards

I also wouldn't mind a transcript feature. I could see many ways it could be useful. Just to add my vote in ☺️

Add my vote too: I had already mentioned this when the new format was rolled out, and my thoughts echo Janet's.

I would also appreciate a similar feature, if for no other reason than I can Ctrl+F a transcript, which I cannot do with an audio file.

Hi all - Just a quick update on this. We are looking into the feasibility of being able to search the subtitles. It will make the learning process quite a bit easier!

Hi Jason,

I love the ability to search the subtitles. Something that I notice on the mobile site is that the search button for subtitles is only available if my phone is in landscape mode, but not portrait mode. Is that by design?

Here are the attached screenshots.

Please let me know if you need any more information, or if I should just make a new post to not resurrect such an old thread :)

Thanks,

James

You can search on the website and scroll once you search. Screenshot below.

Hi James - Hiding the search function on mobile is deliberate as it doesn't fit well. It's part of the responsive design. In saying that the iOS and Android mobile apps are being updated to reflect the new desktop design and on those the search will work, although possibly in a different way.
