Access controlled by IP address?

I have been having intermittent difficulties in accessing the web site the last few days. I just tried turning off my VPN (which is necessary for me to use Skype where I am located) and voilà, instant access... Coincidence?
 

Hi Steven - I am not sure of the issue with using a VPN service but it does appear that using one is causing a few issues with site access/function. We are looking into it.
