High-Volume Headsets

I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids which give me good volume in live conversation. However, I still have a hard time hearing  through my laptop speakers or through a connected headset. The one I have been using is fairly expensive, but even with the volume turned all the way up, voices are quite soft and it takes some effort to understand them. This is especially critical when listening to a foreign language with unfamiliar words.

Can anyone recommend a good language-learning headset that will provide me increased volume to make it easier to hear my language lessons?

I also wear hearing aids and I don't have a headset recommendation, but rather a technique I sometimes use as I have problems with voices, especially females. Use an equalizer on your PC (not sure if a phone has that, but I would not be surprised it does) and turn up the high sounds and turn down the bass. I can do that with my hearing aids as well. It is not dramatic, but it helps me.

Thank you, Scott. Great idea!
