What do I need to do to increase my points streak? Just log on? Complete a unit? Does it reset to zero if I miss a day? Thanks!!

My settings are set for 100 points per day (I'm sure that was automatically set when I signed up). I sign out every morning to reset my points count to zero, otherwise it just rolls forward from the previous day's total. In summary - do your points and you earn the streak and I'm sure FAQs will give you more info.

thanks Chris, I can see I miswrote my question (I'm new to Rocket Languages!) I was referring to my streak (currently 2 days!) rather than my points. Perhaps you know the answer to that as well?

Kindof the same solution. The points per day is open-ended and up to how much you learn/earn per day. My streak (and others?) is advanced a day when I get to 100 points. The rest is a bonus. I hope that makes sense?

You have to hit the goal points for a day for it to continue a streak. I use 300 (when I signed up the default was 500, but I find 300 is doable on those days you don't really want to do it) and I am at 810 days!!! I find my streak is definitely a motivator on days my enthusiasm is lagging. And once I get going, usually I hit 300 before I even know it. The fastest way to get points is speaking. You get 1 point for listening to a phrase but 3 points for speaking. You also get points for listening, but it is really low. I don't pay attention so I am not sure, but it comes in 5 point increments (every 5 minutes?). Taking a quiz gives you 20 points, but you can only get those points one time. Finally, you can get points doing a certification or benchmark (I think it uses the listening/spoeaking points).

Wow! Three hours a day is a huge amount (IMO). I probably do 30 minutes max most days. Unless I watch a Spanish language program, then it is longer.
I like using the points as it is an objective measure (I have not seen the irregularities you have seen) and more important, it keeps my streak going, which is the real motivator to get me to do at least a little Spanish each day.
And we have enjoyed the videos!
