Forum I'm having problems with the tutor audio.

I'm having problems with the tutor audio.

Ojalá me puedan ayudar,

Saludos,
Cristina

Hola Cristina,

Tengo el mismo problema con mi PC desde ayer. Es la primera vez que veo esto.

Saludos,

Steven

I'm writing in Spanish because my written English is really poor. I can't hear the tutor's voice in the French course. I hear perfectly the lesson audio, I can record my voice, but as soon as I do the Write it, Know it, etc. tests, I don't hear anything.

This only happens to me using the Mac. I don't have problems with the iPad and iPhone.

I tried all the web browsers with the same result.

I hope you can help.

I have the same problem. Yesterday it still worked, but now the same description than above. It happened after I installed the latest Adobe Flash Player. Windows 7, same problem in all browsers. Adjusting trusted pages or setting combatibility settings in IE do not help.

I am having the same problem today, on both Firefox and Safari. I thought the problem was in my set, but seems to be a system problem.

I solved my problem By uninstalling the Flash Player and installed the older version, (for example 18.0.0.160_winax seems to works nicely)  from archive https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html. Windows restore point should solve the same problem.

Purely on your own responsibility if you follow my tip:) The latest Adobe update was made because of severe security issues, but not everything was planned to the end, I think.

Having the same problem in Chrome and Firefox. No problem on iPad but the Japanese keyboard widget is not available on iPad so I'm stuck.

I am having the same problem with Rocket Spanish.  The tutor audio worked yesterday but not today.  I hope the Administration is looking into things and will report to us all soon.

Thank you all. It's nice to read that I'm not the only one with the problem. I hope the administration can solve the problem very soon.

I wrote the Rocketlanguage people today and they responded to me.  They are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.  For me, it is still working using the Safari browser, but not IE, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Opera.  Haha, I tried them all.

They did something and finally it works.

Great, it works now. I recommend that all of you shall update the latest Flash as soon as possible, as I did (if not automatically updated).

The RC is still not working.  It is behaving differently, but remains seriously broken.

Me too. My entire morning study session was wasted trying to get things to work. Then the site started responding really slowly. I am hoping that is a sign they are working on it and will get things straightened out soon.

I wish they would post updates when the system is experiencing problems or being repaired.

Hello everybody,

We truly apologize for the inconvenience caused on your courses; on July 8 2015 Adobe Flash released a security update that is blocking our audio from playing. This is only affecting those who have the latest version of Flash installed (version 18.0).

Our IT team has released a workaround until a more permanent solution is found. You can choose to revert to an older version of Flash (version 17.0) or use the app on your mobile device instead.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Marie: thank you, but what would be more helpful would be to know when IT expects to have this issue resolved. Reverting to an older version of flash did not work for me. It might be my old Mac, but I was unsuccessful in installing Flash 17. So until a permanent solution is implemented I am stuck with using the ap on my iPhone, which is not the best way for me to study.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Mine doesn't work properly either, so I must also have the Flash 18 installed.  However, I can at least hear the tutor.  At first I hear it two times as in an echo; thus, in long sentences, they overlap and are intellegable.  If I click on the arrow at the beginning of the black recording thingy, I can repeat the recording and hear it correctly.

Not only is the tutor not playing correctly, but the points counter doesn't work either, and after my session, it's as if I did nothing at all today.

Reverting to an earlier version of the Flash Player isn't an option for me as I don't know how it got onto my computer in the first place, let alone install an earlier version.

Because of other things I do which require the latest versions of Flash, reverting isn't going to work for me either. I would also appreciate knowing the progress, and I have to agree with Diana. Not having the points counter work is the most annoying factor, since the workaround won't count them.

Mine isn't working as well... I'm hoping to post something here at least so I get some kind of points and don't lose my 'days' streak. :-)
