Malfunctioning of interactive audio exercises (read/write access to back-end data-stores apparently malfunctioning)

[NOTE: This problem appears to have been fully resolved on 2017-03-09.]

Sometime within the last day, the functionality of those parts of the interactive lessons in which user "rate it" data is stored and retrieved have started to not function properly. For example, in the "Hear It! Say It!" exercises, one may listen and record the first item, but then the "Rate It" functionality is not working (i.e. clicking on any of the "Rate It" buttons does nothing). Thus, the user cannot proceed to the next item, rendering the exercise unusable from that point on.

Similar problems are preventing  "Write It", "Know It", and "Quiz" items from properly functioning. Note additionally that no value is being displayed for "% Complete" on any item. All these symptoms suggest that read/write access to the back-end data-stores has broken down.

Thanks for attending to this!

(BTW, I'm using the Japanese lessons, but am supposing that this may not be a language-specific issue.)

I am having the exact same problem as you are on all of the exercises on the Arabic lessons.

Same with Chinese writing lessons

Same here on lesson 3.1 rocket Japanese, wouldn't let me score write it.  Play it however seems to be working fine on that lesson.

Rocket Spanish similarly not functioning this morning. Although I notice the flashcards seem to be working properly. I guess I will work on them this morning instead of the lesson I am trying to finish before a trip.

This problem's happing at least since yesterday for me. I hope It gets solved soon.

Italian too. That's really pretty bad. The test team seems to release stuff with very little testing.

Same issue with Korean you can't rate your progress. All thought it works perfectly fine on the phone app. I see this has been going on for almost a day now. Any chance of the Rocket team fixing this issue soon?

It's very unusual that someone from Rocket hasn't said something here. I sent a note to Support to make sure they were aware.

Hi again,

We have been informed from our tech support team that the Testings and the Vocab issues have been resolved and they should be working as usual.

Kind Regards!

Hi!

Yes, thank you! But I believe that the progress indicator (%) of the tests still needs to be adjusted, doesn't it?
dvimont

dvimont

Yes, rudrigo is correct. The "% Complete" is still not being displayed in any of the "Testing" sections.

But thanks for fixing the other issues!

Side note: I see that "% Complete" now has a tool-tip added to it. When you hover your mouse over "% Complete" you now see a tool-tip that says (yep!) "% Complete". Perhaps the addition of this superfluous tool-tip inadvertently resulted in the removal of the actual percentage-complete figure from the display.

Hi there,

Can you please try again right now? I should have been fixed; I just checked a lesson and the test icon changed color and said '100% Complete'. Please let us know.

Kind Regards!

Marie: I am looking at lesson 16.2 that I finished this morning. The Hear it/Say it, Write it, and Know it tests are showing 100% complete for me. The quiz, which I also did this morning, does not show a number, nor does the Play it test.

From my vantage point, everything appears to be functioning correctly now! THANKS!!

Yes Dan, you were right, the Quiz and Play It! were not showing the %, although, as Dvimont mentioned, it should be OK now.

Kind Regards!

Hi Marie,

Is there some way of seeing what features were introduced with this recent release? Presumably the bugs introduced were a part of some functionality release but I can't see anything that is different.

Cheers,
Drew
