You put the Interactive Audio Lessons on QuickTime so they will play on the iPhone if I select the alternate player. Will you not put the Language and Culture clips on QuickTime also?
I don’t have the time to sit in front of my desktop computer to learn Spanish. That’s why I abandoned Transparent Language and bought Rocket Spanish – so I could listen and practice in the car. Now I find that I can’t listen to the Language and Culture clips in the car on the iPhone after all and these clips give fundamental pronunciations that are not available in the Interactive Audio Lessons. Must I look for yet another Spanish language learning program that I can use in the car?

Hola Dave!
The Language and Culture audio files should be accessible through your iphone. Please try to load up the iphone browser, and go to members.rocketlanguages.com and sign in as normal.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Mauricio

Very good! At least on the quick try I made, I could hear what I wanted on my iPhone. Thank you.
Another request, if it's possible on the iPhone. When playing these L & C clips and the full audio lessons in QuickTime, the Rocket Spanish text page is replaced by a QuickTime logo screen while the player is active. Then the RS text screen returns when the player finishes. Is it possible on the iPhone to have the RS text screen remain visible while the QuickTime player is active so one can see, in print, what's being said?

Hola,
Is the IAC player displayed as a little play bar?
If this is not the case, then unfortunately Apple may not allow both QuickTime player and RS text display at the same time.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Gracias,
Mauricio

In Lesson 1.8 on the iPhone, there is now a gray bar to the left of the text to be pronounced. It runs from near the left edge of the blue box to just to the left of the text. Inside that gray bar is a tiny symbol that looks like a triangle with the "NO" symbol superimposed over it. There are a large number of these bars in Lesson 1.8, everywhere there is text of a clip that should play.
Pressing this bar does nothing and the audio clips no longer play on the non-flash player.

A follow-up: That same gray bar appears next to the speaker icon in Lesson 1.7 on the iPhone but I can press it and get the IAC lesson to play, although it still just shows a QuickTime screen, not the RS text screen. But, again, that bar doesn't work in Lesson 1.8. All that happens when I press it is the expanded screen reduces back down to default size.

Today I received the following email from Rocket Languages Ltd:
"Thank you for your email. I apologize for the trouble you have had listening to the language and culture lessons on your iPhone. Our developer has taken a look and hopefully the issue has now been fixed. Please try the lessons again."
I tried Lessons 1.7 and 1.8 on the iPhone again and see no difference in behavior:
Lesson 1.7: The QuickTime play bar that I see on the PC looks like a plain gray bar with a small circular symbol as described in my previous two posts. But pressing it in Lesson 1.7 will play, albeit on a QuickTime screen rather than the lesson screen.
Lesson 1.8: Again, there are a large number of these gray bars that should play short pronunciation clips but pressing these gray bars, singly or in tandem, does nothing.

I hope you've responded to the email you received with this same information. For tech support questions, you're usually much better off corresponding with the company via email.
