I am more of a visual learner. Is there some way for me to get the transcript for the Beginners Book? Also, it is hard for me to follow along since the audio is kind of fast. I end up having to listen to the same thing a couple of times since I need to try to figure out how to write out the words (spell them out).
transcript for beginner's book?

¡Hola Shorty, y bienvenidos!
Go back to where you downloaded the mp3 files for Rocket Spanish, and you should aslo see some pdf files. That's the transcripts for the Interactive Audio Course and Beginner's Book Grammar.

Thanks so much for the prompt response! It is so much more effective to be able to listen to the audio and follow along using the pdf file.

Sorry, can you be more specific? "where I downloaded the mp3 files for Rocket Spanish" is from the various blue bars that show up when I click on "Your Course" in the left column of the window (e.g., "2. Travel", which when clicked reveals "2.1 Taking a Tour," etc.) -- there's one .mp3 file for each of those conversations. I don't see any .pdf files, just the ones in 10.4 (ConversationCourse.pdf) and 10.5 (RocketVocabSupplement_V2.0.pdf), and the ConversationCourse.pdf does not appear to be a transcript of the audio files I have been listening to, although it covers a lot of the same vocabulary and grammar. There are links for "Print this Course" and "Print these Lessons", but that's not a .pdf file, just a printer-friendly version of the web page.
Am I missing something?

I also just purchased the course, the audio does not match exactly the text under the tab "Conversations in Spanish". The audio is much longer than the text displayed on screen. Where do I download the transcript that matches the audio? It is difficult to learn without the matching text. Also I am using the recommended Firefox browser and a lot of the Spanish words are displayed with funny characters, e.g. upside down ?Como for how. What encoding should I use to have the Spanish displayed properly. I am using the unicode UTF-8 character encoding.

As of funny characters, please see 1.8 "Accent Marks" and 2.7 "Funky Punctuation Marks".

Thanks for the explanation of the funny characters. What about the transcript? Anyone knows why the audio does not match the text for the lession?

Is there some way to order a copy of the beginners book? I can't find it anywhere? I don't want to print the entire pdf...

Angela: there is no need to print the entire beginners book. If you look closely you will see that the lessons in the beginners book are identical to the pdf text in the language and culture lessons. I always print the pdf's of the audio lessons and language and culture lessons anyway because I prefer to read ink on paper vs. pixels on a screen, plus sometimes I study without the computer.
What I do is print the vocab lists and the exercises at the end of each section of the beginner's book for further study and review.
