Frustration with voice recognition?

How many other people have experienced pathetic “response” from the voice recognition?  I am sure that there are plenty of you out there.

Right now, in lesson 6.2, I have had just pure and utter pathetic rating of a very simple one, 'un te"!  I have tried to get the voice recognition to evaluate this as a perfect 100% more than 15 times!!!!!!!!!  Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It is such a SIMPLE PRONUNCIATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WTF?????????????

This is not the first time that I have had difficulties with the simplest words or phrases.  In appears that Rocket Spanish cannot get the most basic things correct!  A very good learning system with ONE MAJOR FLAW that they WILL NOT FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame on Rocket Spanish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

¡Hola DaleS15!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing such frustrating results with the voice recognition. We have checked into the phrase that you mention in Lesson 6.2, but it isn't currently presenting any problems on our end. Have you tried following the voice recording tips on our Help page? We recommend using a headset microphone if possible, as these mics produce better quality recordings and so give the most accurate results. Another solution may be to change the position of your microphone, so that your breathing doesn't interfere with your recording.

We'd like to help get this issue resolved for you, so please do let us know if these solutions don't lead to any improvement!

Saludos,

Liss

I have definitely noticed an improvement when I moved to a wired headset (I had two bluetooth ones before with similar results) AND when I moved the microphone just a tad away from my mouth. Of course, I also made usre the microphone was facing my mouth - turns out it was angled 45 degrees off).  Amazing how these little things can make a big difference. This is true with all voice recognition software I use, not just Rocket Languages.
