Algunos/Unos

When is the difference between using algun(a)/algunos/algunas vs. unos & unas. In some of the newspapers I read they almost seem to be used interchangeably, but I'm not really sure. Randy

As far as I know they have the same meaning.

Hi, I think that when you use unas/os it gives the sentence a more exact meaning. for example: "Unas personas en el grupo hablan Español" (some people in the group speak Spanish). This is expressing that you are sure that there are people in the group that speak Spanish, and that you know who they are) "Algunas personas en el grupo hablan Español" (Some poeple in the group speak Spanish). This on the other hand, expresses that there are people who do speak Spanish in the group but you not sure or don't know who those people are so you could be wrong. I hope that helps. Mauricio
