When you are asking someone what they do for a living what phrase is used? En que trabajas? or Que Haces? Are these interchangeable?

¿En qué trabajas? means "At what do you work?" with the specific reference to work. ¿Qué haces? means "what do you do?" which can also mean the same thing but does not specifically use the word "work" therefore there are other contexts in which it could be used. For example: ¿Qué haces aquí? "what are you doing here?"

I've also heard ¿a qué te dedicas? - what do you do for a living?
