Placement of direct and indirect object pronouns

Ken3883

DO pronouns and indirect can go in either of 3 places… attached to infinitive; before verb or attached to gerunds.

Question… is there any preferable placement if you have more than one option.  i.e.

I want to eat it

Lo quiero comer or quiero comerlo

¡Hola Ken3883!

Thanks for your question!

There isn't any really preferred placement here: it's completely up to you whether you use Lo quiero comer or Quiero comerlo. Native speakers might prefer one or the other in a given situation because one will be easier to say more quickly, but in general, the two options are perfectly interchangeable.

I hope that this is helpful!

Saludos,

Liss
