rolling your r's

How important is the ability to roll the r's? I can now do it but it doesn't happen automatically and in sentences is very hard to just do. In terms of being understood, does it matter? I notice on the recordings that sometimes it is rolled and sometimes it is not. Also, I have purchased the premium plus and the platinum and this really is the best overall course. I have tried many and for the money this is well worth it. I was able to try Rosetta Stone through my girlfriend's work and I thought it was a joke. Glad I didn't buy that.

Hola! The rolling "rrr's" is perhaps what makes Spanish - Spanish. Having said that, as you say, sometimes it is not pronounced strongly and you may not hear it - but it is there! Just practice daily rolling the "r's" and your tongue will soon get used to it naturally. Gracias also for the feedback. Mauricio :)
