subjunctive vs indicative

el caballo salvaje

el caballo salvaje

In lession 2.4 Directions it says "Hable más despacio ..." and "Siga recto ..." both of which are the subjunctive form of the verb. But then it also says "Repite por favor ..." which is the indicative form of the verb. Why the difference? When to us what?

Hola  el caballo salvaje,

In this case “hable & ”siga" are  in the formal Ud, of the imperative. The spelling is the same  as the subjunctive.  “Repite” is also the informal tú of the imperative, seems inconsistent to change to the familiar.

Hope this helps.

Saludos,

Ricardo

Hola Ricardo,

muchas gracias, this helps a lot as I completely overlooked the imperative.

Thanks again and saludos
