I can't seem to get my head around the “hacia adentro hasta” part of the translation. It somehow doesn't sound like “inland up” a river. What am I missing here?

¡Hola Steven-W15!

Thanks for your question!

Indeed, it looks like there's a mistake here: hacia adentro hasta el Río Plátano means “inward until / to the Río Plátano” - meaning that our characters would be taking the dinghy inward/inland until they arrive at the Río Plátano. To get the meaning of “inward up the river,” we would need to replace hasta “until / up to” with por “through / by”: hacia adentro por el Río Plátano.

Our apologies for the confusion that this error has caused! I'll notify the Spanish team and we can see about getting this corrected.

Gracias,

Liss

Hola Liss,

How you explained the phrase is how I understood it. As long as it is grammatically correct, I suggest just changing how it's translated. (After all, who cares whether or not they're travelling 10 klics up the river or 10 to get there.)

¡Gracias!

¡Hola Esteban!

Oh yes, it is indeed still grammatically correct, and our Spanish team has already gone in and updated the translation to make it match the Spanish! So it should at least all line up properly now. :)

Gracias,

Liss
