Interesting. Apparently you say "dos millones de pesos" but you don't write the "de".

I assume you are referring to the line in Lesson 11.3? I just finished that lesson and probably listened to it at least a half dozen times and didn't notice. I wonder if omitting "de" is a typo?

That's it. No, I checked for some examples on the Internet: no "de" is included when writing amounts in a given currency.

Come to think of it, French does this too: only for millions. Must be some quirk from Latin.

"Sólo en los Estados Unidos, hay 34 millones de personas que hablan español en la casa." It's worth noting that when "millones" is written out as such, the "de" is also.
