Hola Cynthia,

There is a difference between the act of snowing (to snow) and the actual snow in Spanish;
  • El verbo es nevar: the verb, to snow .
  • El sustantivo es la nieve: the noun, the snow.
Talking about the weather is in the beginning lessons. Now under language & culture. I printed the whole pdf years back. Saludos, Rich

Hola! Another funny thing is that we also use "nieve" when reffering to ice cream even if there is also other words for it as "helado" (which means cold). Other countries use "mantecado". Helado de fresa. Nieve de fresa. Mantecado de fresa. All mean strawberry dice cream.

Hola Todos, En escocia tenemos muchas palabras por nieve. Por ejemplo Snaw Snyauve ( en el norte del pais) Sneachd (Gaelic idioma) These all mean snow which we have lots of in Scotland.
