Plau the Part

Hi All

Am so thrilled that Play the Part will be available in Italian and SPanish. Purchased the German one. It is practical and takes one through everyday situations. For example Going to a bakery. When in Germany I found that it really helped me to find my way around. Spent a lot of time in doing grocery shopping, bakeries etc. Gave me a confidence to speak.

Look forward to them

¡Hola Maxie!

It’s great to hear that you are looking forward to the release of the Rocket Spanish Play the Part.

Our lovely Spanish speakers from Chile and Mexico have been in the studio this week recording the Play the Part audio. Like in the Rocket German Play the Part we have focused on creating conversations around daily activities to increase your familiarity and confidence.

Please drop us a line and let us know what you think of the Rocket Spanish Play the Part after its release. I hope you enjoy it as much as the Rocket German one!

¡Que tengas un buen día!

Any insight on how much they will cost yet?

Hi Scott

I can't remember when I bought the German one. You can look on German Rocket may tell you.

They initially relaesed 10 episodes. I bought those. Then much later they released another 20? I think at no charge. So was really good value for money.

Interestingly, the Travelogues and Play The Part are not on any of the pages I looked at on their main site.  They are only trying to sell their 3 levels of learning. The other stuff comes to us as “sales”, which of course is their regular price because I don't think it is possible to buy the lessons at their regular price. Certainly not the levels - everytime I have gone there is some sort of deal.

Hi Scott

I just looked on the Rocket German sales. Not there, can't imagine why. I think because I had bought the German we were notified in the Forum that they were available. I just remember them not being very expensive, and then they later added more, again notification on Forum.

As I have said loved the German ones. Will be buying both Italian and Spanish when they come out. Sure Jason would respond if you asked.

Was thinking about where we encountered no English. Not often, but it did occur. When Philip was trying to buy a Sim card and then getting it to work. The guy hardly spoke English and Philip eventually gave up. We had to go back to Frankfurt airport to fetch out kids. The guy at the airport spoke excellent English and he sorted it in minutes. So all the kids got their phones sorted there :)

Have a great day

There are two tracks in “high school”, basically blue collar and white collar. White collar kids have to pass a pretty tough English exam and I think the blue collar kids take English, but it is not as vigorous. We did run into some folks who spoke little English, but I was always struck by how many Germans would respond with “A little” when asked if they spoke English. Of course that meant they spoke great English and if they said “Yes” then it was better than our English usually.
